The COVID-19 pandemic has had extraordinary effects on our world and personal lives. Boston College Athletics remains committed to meeting the emerging and ongoing needs of our student-athletes across all 31 varsity sports. Let's come together as Eagles for Eagles!
Many members of the BC Athletics community are actively dealing with this global pandemic. Over 700 student-athletes have transitioned to a remote learning environment. Winter tournaments and spring sports seasons were canceled. Several student-athletes are currently working in hospitals caring for COVID-19 patients to complete their clinical nursing studies.
Never has it been more important to come together as a BC Athletics community to support our student-athletes and coaches. In the midst of this crisis, BC Athletics continues to:
Maintain all athletic scholarships, despite a reduction in revenue resulting from the cancellation of championship events
Provide meal stipends to ensure that low-income student-athletes have access to high-quality nutrition while they are off campus
Provide academic and technological support to student-athletes during the transition to distance learning
Support the physical and emotional well-being of our student-athletes through remote strength and conditioning sessions, counseling meetings, team check-ins, and physical therapy sessions
Please consider making a gift to the Flynn Fund to help address the most urgent needs of our student-athletes, coaches, and programs during this difficult time.
