Law School Fund

The COVID-19 pandemic has had extraordinary effects on our world and personal lives. Boston College Law School is committed to meeting the emerging and ongoing needs of our students. Let's come together as Legal Eagles for Legal Eagles.

Boston College Law School is rooted in a tradition of leadership and a commitment to justice. Your gift today sustains a wide range of programs and initiatives from scholarships that attract and retain our talented students to loan repayment assistance for those pursuing a career in the public interest. Your support addresses the changing and immediate needs of professors and departments as they continue to offer a quality education for students now learning in a remote environment.

Never has it been more important to come together as a BC Law community in support of our students and faculty.

  • Today, BC Law students face an uncertain future with a job market that is dramatically different from when they entered law school. Meanwhile, we are currently facing a lack of financial aid funding at a time when the need for financial aid will only increase among our current students, as well as the incoming Class of 2023.

  • Many students have had their internship offers rescinded and others are hearing from  employers that their internship and entry-level hiring programs have been put on hold. With paid internship and work opportunities disappearing, current students will have an increased need for financial aid in order to be able to afford attending BC Law.

  • We expect that our 3Ls will initially be hit the hardest, with some employers needing to freeze hiring, others delaying or deferring start dates for jobs previously secured, and some unfortunately rescinding offers. Loan repayment assistance will become a growing need for many of our 3Ls pursuing public service careers in this economic climate.

  • Our committed faculty had little more than a week to adapt and reimagine their courses for remote instruction at BC Law due to these unprecedented circumstances. BC Law’s incredible instructors need our support as they navigate teaching their courses remotely and supporting students from afar.

Please consider making a gift to the BC Law Fund to help address the most urgent needs of our students, faculty, and school during this difficult time.
