Faculty preparing to teach a formal online course can spend six months or more designing it. But, faculty and staff had little more than a week to adapt and reimagine their courses for remote instruction at BC due to these unprecedented circumstances. BC's incredible instructors need our support as they navigate teaching their courses remotely and supporting students from afar.
BC's commitment to cura personalis becomes particularly salient given the increased isolation many have experienced in this transition. Instructors are pivoting their courses to foster connection among students, and expanding their office hours to meet with students who are now in different time zones. Your support for Excellence in Remote Learning allows the University to address the changing and immediate needs of professors and departments as they work to sustain a quality BC education for undergraduate and graduate students now learning in a remote environment. For example, the Connell School of Nursing has invested in Virtual Simulation Products needed by our nursing students to finish their coursework this semester.
